Introducing Mental Agility at a coach-specific workshop at the 2019 Urban Lacrosse Alliance Conference. I discuss why it is important to know how the brain thinks, how the stress response works, and what Mental Agility is and why it is superior to mental toughness.
This was a tremendous workshop with engaged participants, and I relished the opportunity to share Mental Agility strategies to youth and high school coaches from all over the country.

A snippet of my hour-long talk, “Coaching Agile Minds”. Over a hundred coaches attended the Urban Lacrosse Alliance Conference in Baltimore, MD, and it was a joy to share my Mental Agility tools with them.

I explain the differences between the brain stem and the prefrontal cortex, and explore what the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems characteristics.
This was a great opportunity to share strategies to officials about how to combat their negative mental filter while managing coaches, players, and fans during their games.
