How to Make Stress Your Friend

This week I used a number of techniques to defend my mind from the internal horde of panicked thoughts.

Inspired by Kelly McGonigal who first introduced me to the possibility that I could make use of my overactive stress response, I feel it is appropriate to share a talk she gave to a Ted Conference audience in 2013. I am confident you will develop a greater understanding of the stress response and of how you can better maneuver around your own after watching this fourteen minute presentation.

Stress. It makes your heart pound, your breathing quicken and your forehead sweat. But while stress has been made into a public health enemy, new research suggests that stress may only be bad for you if you believe that to be the case.
